Celebrating 10 Years of Software Development and Testing Excellence

Our Mauritius office opened in March 2013 with a modest-sized team. By year-end, our workforce had expanded to 15, divided into three teams specializing in Drupal development, .Net, and Quality Assurance (QA). The QA Testing team has since undergone substantial growth, increasing its personnel from 5 to 13 employees.  

During this time, Unipro Mauritius has built a reputation for delivering high-quality software development and testing services to big-name clients around the globe. Collaborating ‘as one’ with our UK colleagues, we ensure that every project meets the highest standards of quality and performance to deliver client value. 

One of the key factors in Unipro's success has been its focus on training and development. We offer all employees the opportunity to acquire new skills and expand their knowledge, with a particular emphasis on testing and development. In 2022, we introduced our Low-Code academy, which provides training to our team members and to the potential for internship opportunities down the line. 

Despite the challenges posed by the time difference between the Mauritius office and its UK counterparts, the team works tirelessly to maintain open communication and flexibility, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality. 

Team building and having a strong working relationship within our teams is a really important part of what we do. We organise regular events and activities to promote team synergy and build bonds among employees and always wrap up with our infamous end-of-year party (close your eyes and imagine blue skies and sea views). 

We are incredibly proud of our Mauritius team members, who in December won seven awards at Unipro’s end-of-year awards ceremony, including Arnaud for being our longest-serving employee at 10 years, Pascal for being our longest-serving employee in the development team for 9 years, and Yash for being our longest-serving employee in the test team for 9 years. Afsah also received the Core Value award for Make it Better, the Core Value award for Team Player, and the QA Personnel of the Year award, while Lekraj was named Employee of the Year

To celebrate our 10th anniversary and Mauritius 55th Independence Day, we started the day with breakfast in the office, a bowling and canapes lunch, and we ended the evening with pizza and cake. Despite the bad weather, our team enjoyed a day of fun and celebration, bringing us closer together as we look forward to the next 10 years of success. 

Looking to the future, Unipro is committed to expanding its services and gaining new clients while continuing to prioritize testing and development, including QA as a Service (QAaaS). We’re excited to see the Low-Code academy program grow and look forward to providing even more opportunities in the years ahead.
