Unipro turns 25!
To celebrate our first quarter-century; we wanted to do something special to mark the occasion. UK employees were invited to attend Goodwood Raceday on Friday 26th August to watch the Bank Holiday racing and fireworks event.
The day started with the team gathering at our head office in Chichester for welcome drinks and a photo opportunity before heading to the coach for a short drive from our HQ in Chichester to the racecourse.
Upon arrival, we made our way through the grounds to the Long View, Richmond Enclosure where we were greeted with a champagne reception, canapés and a lunch buffet.
The atmosphere was buzzing with not only anticipation for the pending races, but also chatter and memories of all the things we’ve achieved over the last twenty-five years.
At the start of the year, Director Shaun Froome mentioned in a blog ‘we are rapidly expanding our talented team and welcome fresh faces’ looking around the table it was fantastic to see that we’ve delivered on that. A mixture of old and new faces, with some employees being with us for many years and others joining just a matter of weeks earlier.
The afternoon was fantastic with winning bets and celebrations, and of course, more champagne as the team joyfully watched the racing. Whilst the views from The Long View were incredible, many made their way to the finish line to get a shot of the action close-up.
When the races drew to a close, it was time to head back to the Richmond enclosure for tea and cake.
The day ended with Goodwood’s renowned firework display, which certainly didn’t disappoint. The team had a fantastic view of the fireworks from the enclosure’s balconies as the day drew to a close with a bang.
For those who couldn’t attend the celebrations at Goodwood, we also hosted an online coffee morning, awards ceremony, presentation and video looking back at our memories through the years since Unipro was founded in 1997.
Brownie boxes were delivered to our UK employees while our Mauritius team shared cakes and games in their offices.
We also held an awards ceremony to recognise employees and their achievements over the last twenty-five years.
